Gadar 2: Receives approval from Indian army and Ministry of defence

Recently, the producers of Gadar 2 staged a special screening for the Ministry of Defence Preview Committee, who responded favourably by awarding the movie a No Objection Certificate.

22 years after its first release, the movie Gadar, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has finally made a comeback. There has been a lot of anticipation and enthusiasm surrounding the movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha since the release of the first look. The public's enthusiasm for the movie's re-release demonstrated that viewers hold a particular place in their hearts for it.

The makers of Gadar 2 held a special screening of the movie as required by the Ministry of Defence Preview Committee before any army-based film in India could be released, and the reception they received from the officials was incredibly touching.

The Ministry of Defence Preview Committee not only approved Gadar 2 but also praised it in its favourable remarks.

Anil Sharma explained why it took him so long to return with the sequel in an exclusive chat with the ETimes. "I just didn't want to ride on the 'Gadar' brand name," the person said. I desired a genuine Tara Singh and Sakina narrative that progresses. I may have heard 50 stories, and none of them were familiar to me," he had claimed.

Gadar 2, which will be directed by Anil Sharma and produced by Zed Studios, will open in theatres on August 11, 2023.
